About Us

Background

WebInterstate, Inc is a Minnesota corporation with our home base in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Originally setup as a custom application development and website hosting company for small to medium sized business, we have reached out to several large companies that wanted to utilize our Java application framework, along with our extensive knowledge of Internet application development.

We service the health industry with our flagship product called MediMatrix, a practice management service designed for the mobile medical industry. Like many of our software solutions, MediMatrix is setup using the "application service provider" model - we manage and support all the hardware and equipment to keep the application running from a state-of-the-art server room in downtown Minneapolis.

WebInterstate's development focus is to build cost-effective, web-based solutions by utilizing our extensive collection of web modules: Scheduling, Workflow Management, Records Management, PDF Report Generator, DICOM and JPG Imaging, Financial Billing and Invoicing, Auto-Fax Server.

Management Team

Brad Nelson - President

Brad Nelson is a co-founder of WebInterstate and serves as President and Chief Technology Officer of the company. Before co-founding WebInterstate, Mr. Nelson ran a successful independent contracting company, Orion Services, working on projects at several large Fortune 500 companies including West Group (West Publishing) and Cenex/Land-O-Lakes.

Mr. Nelson has over 20 years of business experience in designing specifications, as well as coding, implementing, and managing large software projects. Mr. Nelson earned his B.S. in Mathematics and Accounting at the University of Nebraska.

Ken Kern - Vice President

Ken Kern is a co-founder of WebInterstate and serves as Vice President of the company. Prior to WebInterstate, Mr. Kern had worked at several companies in the Minneapolis, MN area. As an independent contractor, Mr. Kern developed Internet sites and applications for several companies including MTS Systems Corporation, ProStaff, and WebMD (formerly IVI Publishing).

Mr. Kern has over 15 years of business experience in application design and development. Mr. Kern earned his B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.
